Sky Watch Friday

KITCHEN WINDOW VIEWS..

Looking out the window is a reflex action when getting a refill of coffee..
as natural as adding sugar and creamer..
the views are always the same..
red brick wall,
to the left a Catalpa tree,
and above all,the beautiful blue Colorado sky.
Sometimes the blue has fluffy white clouds,
or stormy dark clouds,
or rain,
or snow falling..
but mostly clear and endless blue..

This morning my view was that of a visiting, very animated hungry squirrel enjoying cantaloupe seeds placed atop the wall earlier for the birds..
He arrived carrying something which resembled an immature pine cone..
with camera in hand, I watched and clicked away at him..
obliviously..
happily chewing away..
eating seeds..
lingering until the very last smidgen was gone..

Having discovered a new source for food, he will return..
